A Year of Grace: In Loving Remembrance of Jane Allen

One year ago yesterday, we said goodbye to Jane Allen: wife to Phil Allen (our Founder & Chairman), mother to Drew Allen (our President & CEO) and Bekah Allen, and the beloved “Nana” to Sam and Oliver. But if you know the Grace fam bam, you know we never really said goodbye. Jane’s spirit is woven into our DNA; her warmth, kindness, and absolute zest for life are still alive in everything we do.

Jane wasn’t just someone who lit up a room; she was the energy source behind so many of our biggest laughs and most memorable moments. Even on the most challenging days of her battle with ovarian cancer, she found reasons to celebrate, love fiercely, and bring people together. That resilience and joy continues to fuel us at Grace every single day.

Jane refused to let any hardship, including ovarian cancer, define her life. Instead, she channeled her fierce determination into helping others, once sending personal notes and gifts to fellow patients, offering hope when it was needed most.

Jane taught us that joy is something we carry inside, something we share, and something we choose to live out loud, and that’s exactly what we’ll keep doing, with hearts full of gratitude for the remarkable woman who continues to shape who we are.

On this special anniversary, we kept Jane’s memory close by indulging in one of her go-to treats from our local chocolate shop: chocolate-covered marshmallows and sea salt caramels.
