If you're looking for some good news, you've come to the right place. These days the news can be a scary place to visit but out of every crisis humanity has endured, we have risen above with innovative spirits to overcome, adapt, and survive. We're grateful for all of the heroic essential workers out there keeping us going through all this, as well as the ordinary people stepping up to lend a hand. Here's how Grace is stepping up with the help of our family and people in our community.

As reported in the Quad City Times and various other news outlets in the area, we're very proud to announce we have ramped up our manufacturing operations to produce more than ten thousand face shields per week to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19). With a global distribution network, Grace will provide face shields to our heroes both at home and abroad.

Grace's history of providing essential workers with cutting edge safety products and solutions will be expanding to the frontline of this global pandemic we are all facing. With SafeSide Face Shields Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), we are now manufacturing and providing essential personnel with protective face shields. We went from designing a prototype to production in a mere five days.

For decades, Grace has manufactured safety products that permanently mount onto equipment to keep people safe and assets secure. Our engineers swiftly devised a solution to aid in the PPE shortage by using our available resources. Once the face shield design was set in place, our very own Grace family heroes within our production team got to work on manufacturing.

As hospitals around the globe are reeling from an unprecedented shortage of PPE, many have resorted to fashioning their own homemade face masks and shields.  In times of crisis, the human spirit will always adapt to survive by using its surrounding resources and we as companies in the position of manufacturing goods should act the same way.

“When you look at what’s going on in our world, you can’t help but wonder how you can help,” said Drew Allen, VP of Strategic Development. “At Grace, health and safety has been our priority since day one. We’ve pivoted our manufacturing operations to combat COVID-19 by going from a prototype face shield to production in just five days. We’re very fortunate to be in a position that enables us to contribute to this fight. If you have the resources, it’s your duty to equip and protect those who need it most right now.”

On a final note, we'd like to issue a MASSIVE shoutout to our amazing engineering and production teams for coming through in the midst of this crisis! Today, in particular we wanted to recognize one of our very own Product Engineers, Aaron Tuttle. Aaron has been amazing and working tirelessly to get everything pulled together for this project. From designing the shields and the components, setting up the lasers, to enabling the ability to laser-cut the strings; we can't thank him enough for his commitment.
