Q: What is an Application Interface and why should I use it?

A: An Application Interface is essentially in I/O module.  Part of configuring the Panel Mount Node or CloudGate is determining the hardwired sensing that is needed (if any).  From there, you can determine the correct Application Interface.  We offer dedicated interface modules to one sensing types (IE 6 X 2 Wire 4-20mA sensors on the AB1 sensor interface) or combination based on typical combined input types.  An example of this would be our AA1 module that combines 4 X 0-10V sensor inputs with 2 X resistance based inputs, such as a thermistor.

Some applications do not require hardwired inputs and that is an option as well by placing an "XX" code in the Application Interface portion of the part number.
