Q: What does the system architecture typically look like?
A: Although it will vary customer by customer, most commonly there are a number of nodes that connect to one panel-mount CloudGate. The nodes send data to the CloudGate via Zigbee compatible communication. The CloudGate then pushes the data to the cloud on a configurable, repeating basis. See the below graphic for a visual representation.
When distance between the node and CloudGate increases or a CloudGate services a large number of nodes, an additional CloudGate can be added. This also adds redundancy, see the following article for more information: Why would I want to add another CloudGate to my system?
