Q: Why does the R-3MT Safe-Test Point fail the continuity test?
A: The Safe Test Point will fail the continuity test when using your multimeter. The reason is that the test is designed to be used on between two points that have a small amount of resistance (just a few ohms maximum). The R-3MT has a resistance of 102kΩ so there is too much resistance to pass the test.
