Q: What happens if my battery dies on my Vibration and Temperature Sensor?

A: If your sensor has stopped sending data/gone offline and the last "Battery Voltage" value sent by the sensor is less than 3.0V, your battery has most likely died. Follow the below instructions for battery replacement:

Grace Technologies recommends using part number LS26500-AAC with a
Saft battery. If the part is hazardous location rated, the exact Saft cell MUST be used
to maintain ratings. Substitutes must be 3.6V C-size, have a Molex
CA023-7A connector, and should have a capacity rating of 7700 mAh to match the
battery life expectancy. Replacement batteries are available for purchase through
Grace Technologies™ (P/N G-FM-VBT-ACC-BAT5) and can also be sourced through
third parties.

Once you have your replacement batteries, follow the below steps:

1. Rotate the cap counterclockwise to remove it from the Sensor.
2. Remove the battery from inside the Sensor (if included).
3. Reach inside the sensor and pull the black wire harness outward.
4. Connect the 2-pin wire from the battery to the wire harness, ensuring proper
alignment with the keyed connectors.
5. Place the wire harness back inside the sensor, followed by the wires, and then
insert the battery until it is properly seated inside the sensor. Wires must be
installed behind the battery and must not run alongside the length of the battery.
6. Secure the cap by rotating it clockwise until snug. Do not overtighten
