Q: How is UL508 different from UL/Nema4, UL/Nema 4X, UL/Nema12?
A: UL508 is the Standard for Safety For Industrial Control Equipment. UL508 does not have a equivalent Nema rating since it is the safety standard. UL4 and UL4X are increased protections on top of the expected standard. Nema ratings such as Nema 4 are equivalent to UL4, and Nema 12 is equivalent to UL12.
