Automation Fair: The Journal

Posted by Nick Schiltz on December 12

journalFrom Rockwell Automation's The Journal: Drew Allen, Director of Global Business Development at Grace Engineered Products, Inc., describes the new GraceSense™ Predictive Maintenance System of IIoT smart devices that combine low-power wireless smart-sensor technology with advanced data analytics to help optimize maintenance budgets and protect assets. Advanced edge processing and Zigbee-compatible communication monitors vibration and temperature; panel-mount nodes can be mounted in enclosures; and a Maintenance Hub provides real-time dashboards, analytics, and configuration.

If you were unable to attend 2018's Automation Fair in Philly, here's an up-close look at our brand new demo tower featuring the first look at the GraceSense™ Predictive Maintenance SystemDrew had inadvertently been practicing for this interview over the past two days with attendees swarming and bombarding this section of the booth having many questions about what we're working on in the IIoT space.

By the time The Journal's cameraman and Executive Editor, Theresa Houch, arrived, he had a fine-tuned message that will be very enlightening to those unfamiliar with this new territory for Grace. It was a departure for our Director of Sales, Dan Hebeisen, who passed the mantle this year of being the interviewee. Although don't count him out just yet; there's always next year! Here are Dan's first and last years' interviews with The Journal:

(Note the change in Hot Spot detection technology within the span of 3 years!)

And finally, in honor of our 20th year at Automation Fair, here's a throwback to the first video we did with The Journal in 2012, featuring Phil Allen:
