Happy Hanukkah! Merry Christmas!

…and Happy New Year!  This will be the last HumpDay of 2014 because Grace will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve (along with the holidays themselves) so our employees can enjoy this beautiful time of year with their loved ones.  There are certain times of year I get nostalgic and Christmas time is one of them.  As I think back over the year I am amazed at how much has evolved, not only here at Grace but for me personally.  Change in life is nothing new and should be embraced, in my humble merry_christmas_11_1200opinion.  Every December we look over the year before and consider our planning for the year to come, and this morning I am reviewing my HumpDay statistics.  You guys are awesome.  I am so blessed by your faithful readership of HumpDay and we pledge to keep it going another year.

This year, as we have in years’ past, we participated in Operation Christmas Child, which, according to their 2014 Fact Sheet says, “[Operation Christmas Child is }the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind, Operation Christmas Child, uses gift-filled shoeboxes to share God’s love in a tangible way with needy children around the world.”  This year we packaged 169 at our annual Grace ShoeBox Packing Party.  Here is a video that was sent to us that shows the joy those shoe boxes bring the children.

Nothing like 90 seconds of happy, underprivileged children to brighten your day!  If you want to participate in Operation Christmas Child, it’s not too late!  Click here to build your own shoe box!

I hope you all have a joyful holiday season!  Merry Christmas!
