Question 4: Why can't I just make my own Temporary Cover using similar material?

The temporary ingress barrier must be an approved or UL Classified device. Homemade Covers or Cardboard is not acceptable. OSHA defines ?acceptable? as: ?An installation or equipment is acceptable to the Assistant Secretary of Labor, and approved within the meaning of this Subpart S:

1. If it is accepted, or certified, or listed, or labeled, or otherwise determined to be safe by a nationally recognized testing laboratory? OSHA 1910.399, OHSA Letter of Interpretation
